Garbhan Downey

Derry writer Garbhan Downey has published eight novels, described as 'a superb blend of comedy, political dirty tricks and grisly murder'.  He has also contributed stories to several anthologies of Irish crime fiction and edits both fiction and non-fiction for Guildhall Press. A former newspaper editor and senior BBC producer, Downey was the founding editor of ‘Verbal: The Northern Ireland Literary Review’.  His new novel, Once Upon a Time in the North West, has been hailed in the Irish News as 'a love letter to Derry'.
